SIGEAN AFRICAN RESERVE

The circuit of the visit crosses a natural environment where alternate ponds, marshes, scrubland, pine forests, plains and hills, divided into large spatial units of ten hectares and where evolve and breed a great diversity of species for mostly African but also belonging to the local fauna. Discovering them in their everyday life, deciphering their behaviors and recognizing them is part of the charm of the walk.

​The African Reserve of Sigean is a zoological park located between Narbonne and Perpignan in the town of Sigean. It claims to present more than 3,800 animals, 160 species over 350 hectares. Thanks to Mediterranean climatic conditions, the reserve is one of the largest reserves specializing in the conservation of African fauna.
